Integration

    MeetSync® and Google Calendar

With Google Calendar connected, your free time is calculated against your real calendar, and booked meetings are written back with attendees and a video link.

How the Google Calendar connection works

You connect with your Google sign-in. You approve access to calendar events, choose which calendars count towards availability and pick a default calendar where new bookings are created. Nothing needs to be installed locally.

When someone opens your booking link, busy time is read from the selected calendars and subtracted from the hours you made bookable. Calendars you chose not to show publicly can still be included, so private events block time without their content being visible.

The booking is written back as a calendar event with attendees, description and an optional Google Meet link. On cancellation or rescheduling the event is updated and attendees are notified, so Google Calendar and MeetSync® never disagree about the same meeting.

    What the integration does

    Real-time availability

Busy time in your chosen calendars is blocked immediately, even in calendars you've chosen not to show publicly.

    Meetings written back

Booked meetings are created in your Google Calendar with attendees, location and description.

    Google Meet, automatically

A Meet link can be created for every booked meeting.

    Cancellations and reschedules sync

Cancellations and new times update the calendar event and attendees are notified.

    How to connect

    1. 1

      Sign in with Google

Grant access to your calendar under Calendar connections.

    2. 2

      Choose calendars

Specify which calendars should affect availability and which one is the default for new meetings.

    3. 3

      Publish a booking link

Create a meeting calendar and share the link — free times are kept up to date automatically.

    Worth knowing before you connect

    Several accounts at once

If you have both a work and a personal account, connect both. Busy time is combined so you are not double-booked across accounts.

    Shared calendars

Calendars shared with your account can be included in availability, for example a department calendar or a resource such as a meeting room.

    Combine with other systems

Google can be combined with Microsoft 365 and Apple iCloud in the same calculation – useful for teams that are not on one platform.

    Frequently asked questions

    What access is needed?
Access to calendar events, to read busy time and create meetings. Meeting content in other people's calendars is never shown publicly.
Can I connect several Google accounts?
Yes. Several connections can be used at once and are combined into a single shared availability.
    Can I disconnect the integration?
Yes. The connection can be removed at any time; future bookings then stop syncing.
Does everyone on the team have to use Google?
No. Each user connects the calendar they have. In a shared booking flow the availability of all participants is combined regardless of provider.
What happens if access expires or is revoked?
The connection is marked inactive and you are prompted to reconnect. While inactive, that calendar is not used to calculate free slots.
Can the person booking see what my meetings are about?
No. The booking page only shows free or busy – never titles, attendees or notes from your calendar events.
