Integration

    MeetSync® and Microsoft 365

With Microsoft 365 connected, your availability is read via Microsoft Graph, and booked meetings land in your Outlook calendar with a Teams link.

How the Microsoft 365 connection works

You connect with your Microsoft sign-in and the integration uses Microsoft Graph. You approve calendar access, choose which calendars count and set where new bookings are created. In organisations with a restricted consent policy an administrator approves the app once.

Availability is read as busy time from the Outlook calendar. Booked meetings are created as calendar events with attendees and can get a Teams meeting automatically, so the link is in the invitation from the start.

Attendee responses are picked up: if someone declines or proposes a new time it appears in MeetSync® and can be handled straight away. When a meeting is rescheduled or cancelled the Outlook event is updated and attendees are notified automatically.

    What the integration does

    Availability via Graph

Busy time in your Outlook calendar blocks bookable slots immediately.

    Teams link, automatically

An online Teams meeting can be created for every booking.

    Attendee responses picked up

If an attendee declines or proposes a new time, it shows up in MeetSync® and can be handled straight away.

    Cancellations and reschedules

Changes update the calendar event and attendees are notified automatically.

    How to connect

    1. 1

      Sign in with Microsoft

Grant access under Calendar connections. Some organisations require admin approval.

    2. 2

      Choose a calendar

Specify which calendar should be used as the default for new meetings.

    3. 3

      Create meeting types

Publish booking calendars or send meeting requests to internal and external attendees.

    Worth knowing before you connect

    Administrator approval

If users see a message that approval is required, an IT administrator needs to approve the app for the organisation. After that everyone can connect themselves.

    Shared and functional mailboxes

If the account has permission to a shared calendar it can be used for availability – for example a common reception calendar.

Teams as the default for video meetings

With the connection active, Teams is offered as a meeting format. If Google is connected too, both options appear and you choose per calendar.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is admin approval required?
In organisations with a restricted consent policy, an administrator needs to approve the app once.
Does it work with shared calendars?
Yes, if the account has permission to the calendar it can be used for availability.
Can Teams and Google Meet be used side by side?
Yes. Video options are shown based on which connections are active.
Does it work with on-premise Exchange?
The integration is built on Microsoft Graph and is intended for Microsoft 365 in the cloud. Pure on-premise Exchange installations are not covered.
What happens if access is revoked?
The connection is marked inactive and the calendar is no longer used for availability until you reconnect.
Can several people in the same organisation connect their own accounts?
Yes. Each user connects their own account, and in shared booking calendars everyone’s availability is combined.
